Our VeterinariansDr. Jamie Kelly | Dr. Jamie Kelly grew up in Bunbury P.E.I., received his BSC. from Acadia University, and graduated from AVC in 1990. Upon graduation he joined the Charlottetown Veterinary Clinic. He works mainly with companion animals (dogs, cats an exotics) but when on call he covers all species. He and his wife Coleen now live in Keppoch. | Dr. Kim Foote | Dr. Kim Foote began working part time at the clinic in the spring of 2001. Kim is a graduate of AVC and came to us via Newfoundland. She has been a full time veterinarian in the small animal department since January 2006. Kim and Chris and their cats live on a farm east of Charlottetown where they raise Saler beef cattle. | Dr. Bob Johnson | Dr. Robert Johnson, a native of Langenburg, Saskatchewan, graduated in 1967 from the Ontario Veterinary College. Bob has been working at the Charlottetown Veterinary Clinic since he and his wife Judy moved here in 1971. They have 3 grown children; Susan (Washington, D.C.), Jody (Charlottetown, P.E.I.) and Andrew (Calgary, AB) . Bob is in semi-retirement working in the small animal department on some Saturdays. He enjoys curling, swimming, golfing and traveling. | Dr. William H. Best
| Dr. William (Bill) Best grew up in Annapolis Valley, NS and graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in 1981. Bill worked as a student at the clinic before his final year at vet school and upon graduation he was hired full time. His veterinary interest lie with equine, beef and sheep. He has a small hobby farm in Bonshaw where he raises Shires (heavy horses) and Angus beef cattle. | Dr. John Drake | Dr. John Drake, raised in Meadowbank, P.E.I. has been with the clinic shortly after his graduation from Ontario Veterinary College in 1985. John’s special interest lies in the dairy industry but deals with all species. He hasbeen very involved nationally with The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association. | Dr. James Boswell | Dr. James Boswall worked at the clinic as a student and was hired on staff after graduation from AVC in 1991. His interest lies in the standardbred industry, but he enjoys working with all animals. James, his wife Diane live in Frenchfort next to the farm he grew up . | Dr. Collen Dickie | Dr. Colleen Dickie started her veterinary career with us after graduating from AVC in 2005. She began volunteering here in 1998 and working as a student since 2001. Colleen has a long history with the harness racing industry starting in her home town of Windsor, NS. This interest paved her way towards equine work with special interest in lameness and equine reproduction. She also works with cattle and spends some time in the small animal clinic. Dr. Dickie received her BSC from Acadia University. | Dr. Jen MacLean Dr. MacLean graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in May of 2010 and immediately joined the clinic .She is a true Islander originating from the Montague area. She deals with both large and small animals having a special interest in equine reproduction . Over half her time will be spent in the small animal department where she has a deep love for dogs and cats. Jen covers both medicine and surgery during her time at the clinic. |  |
